Picnic, an online supermarket based in the Netherlands, has raised €250 million in investments from its shareholders. The E-commerce company is planning on using this investment to build a logistics centre which is 42,000 square meters in size and incorporates robotized technology such as automated machines that sort, pack and distribute orders to Picnic’s customers. It is expected that 150,000 households in the Netherlands will be served every week from the new distribution centre.
