eBay is launching its managed payments experience to the UK, making it the third market that the service will be available in following US and Germany. This service will offer buyers flexibility and more choice in payment options, as well as giving sellers a better way to manage their business. VP of eBay UK Rob Hattrell says, “We know that sellers and buyers expect smooth and seamless transactions, and this new payment experience is designed to offer exactly that”.

Ebay’s managed payment scheme will provide online shoppers more choice on how they can purchase their goods from managed payment sellers. Accepted payment methods include credit cards, debit card, gift cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and PayPal credit. Buyers will also be presented with the option to save and store their card information for future use.
