Major E-commerce players Amazon and Alibaba have joined forces with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) to crack down on coronavirus-related E-commerce fraud. There has been an increase in the sales of counterfeit health products such as pharmaceuticals and PPE (personal protective equipment), and HSI is working alongside Amazon and Alibaba to hold fraudulent sellers accountable. Amazon’s VP of customer trust and partner support said “We look forward to building on our long-standing relationship to protect customers and ensure a trusted shopping experience.”
