According to statistics provided by a globally renowned E-commerce data service, online retail giants Amazon and eBay make up 40% of all UK E-commerce. Amazon has seen its presence in the UK market increase by 2.3% since 2018, as last year it accounted for 28.8% of UK E-commerce transactions and it now accounts for 30.1%. The data also showed that eBay has a 9.8% share of the UK’s online market.

Although Amazon and eBay together represent a huge portion of E-commerce in the UK, the difference between each giants’ share of the market is startling. Amazon has once again proved its dominance as an E-commerce platform with its share of 30.1% in comparison to eBay’s 9.8%.
