E-commerce solutions provider EKM, a popular platform for UK retailers, has launched a free online shop known as Obodo. Obodo has been built to help small businesses reach customers within 25 kilometres of their store. The founder of Obodo, Antony Chesworth, has said “We have seen many brick and mortar local businesses shut their doors with no way to reach their customers. We decided to use the resources we have and do something to help those struggling businesses.”

It is great that EKM have released a simplified version of their platform in order to help businesses who are currently struggling under the coronavirus crisis. As J&P reported yesterday, Shopify have released an app to help local businesses connect with customers and hopefully Obodo will have an equally positive impact.
